ADOPTION PROCESS

*DUE TO COVID-19 WE ARE NOT CONDUCTING OUT OF STATE ADOPTIONS UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE*

At Eunoia Rescue, it is our goal to place animals in forever homes. Because of this, our adoption process is longer than some organizations. When trying to decide on what type of pet you would like, please keep all animals in mind. Unless stated otherwise, the adoption fee is $200 and includes: spay / neuter, microchip, up to date on age appropriate shots!  Due to the high volume of vet bills, food, supplies and extra expenses needed to keep our rescue afloat, all adoption fees are 100% nonrefundable. Eunoia Rescue may deny any applicant for any reason. You must be 23 years of age or older to apply.  In order to be considered for adoption, please follow the following steps:

CATS

KITTENS

1. Fill out an adoption application by using our online website form and pay the application processing fee.

2. Once approved, a virtual home check will be conducted.

3. If the home check goes well, we will schedule a meet and greet with the cat we have mutually decided may be a good fit for you. All of our animals are in foster homes, so the meeting will be dependent upon the availability of the foster.

4. Next, you will sign a foster contract to allow a trial period.

5. After everyone has been introduced properly, and a foster contract has been signed, you may choose to begin a trial period in your home. This is a 1-2 week time to allow the family and animal to get to know each other well, and to ensure everything is a perfect match. Please give your cat 3-4 days to decompress in your home, before making a decision.

6. In order to finalize the adoption, the adoption fee must be paid and the contract must be signed.

7. Please join our Eunoia Alumni Facebook Page to keep up to date on all of our upcoming events & news!

8. Finally, you must provide documentation that you took your new Eunoia cat to your primary veterinarian for a check up during the first (TWO WEEKS) and provide documentation to your adoption coordinator.

1. Fill out an adoption application by using our online website form and pay the application processing fee.

2. Once approved, we will conduct a virtual home check. If approved, we will schedule a virtual  meet & greet with the kitten you are interested in.

3. In order to finalize the adoption, the adoption fee must be paid and the contract must be signed. Due to the nature of the fast pace adoption process of kittens, we cannot hold any kittens for any potential adopter without these being completed.

4. Kittens are vetted at 12 weeks old. If your kitten has been adopted before it’s been vetted, the kitten will remain in the foster home until it has completed the vetting process.

5. Please join our Eunoia Alumni Facebook Page to keep up to date on all of our upcoming events & news as well as your Kitten'’s Litter Facebook page.

6. Finally, you must provide documentation that you took your new Eunoia kitten to your primary veterinarian for a check up during the first (TWO WEEKS) and provide documentation to your adoption coordinator.

NOTE: We do not allow our kittens to have trial periods. In order to adopt a kitten, a contract and payment must be signed before the handoff. You cannot reserve your kitten without a signed contract & adoption fee. You will not be able to pick up your kitten until they are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, & microchipped.
